Arshad is a co-founder and Managing Director of Elixir Capital. Prior to Elixir, he was a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in San Francisco. Since 1999 he has been in the private equity and venture capital world providing business and financial counseling. Early in his career, Arshad also served at the Washington, DC and Menlo Park, California offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, and before that in the New York and Singapore offices of Shearman & Sterling.
Arshad enjoys teaching and he serves as adjunct professor at UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt, and UC Hastings, in private equity, venture capital, and Islamic finance. He earned his undergraduate degree in engineering.
Abrar is a co-founder and Managing Director of Elixir Capital. Prior to Elixir, Abrar was a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and one of the most notable emerging markets private equity experts in the country – regularly sought out by some of the world’s largest investment funds including Soros Fund Management, the Carlyle Group and New Enterprise Associates.
Abrar serves an adjunct professor at the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law and at Vanderbilt University, School of Law where he teaches private equity. He has also spoken extensively at institutions such as the Harvard Business School, Harvard’s Kennedy School and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the subject of private equity and investing in emerging markets.
Amir is a Managing Director of Elixir Capital and heads the Kuala Lumpur office. Prior to joining Elixir Capital, Amir was Senior Vice President of Investments at Malaysian Venture Capital Management Berhad ("MAVCAP") where he led an investment team focusing on the information, communications and technology ("ICT") sectors for over eight years.
Amir has more than 20 years of experience in management, operations, sales and marketing in the ICT industry. He has invested in companies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and throughout the ASEAN region and has also served as a board member for 14 different companies, a number of which were publically listed. Amir is a frequent speaker at national and international investment conferences.
Nisa is an Associate based in the Elixir's Kuala Lumpur office. Prior to joining Elixir Capital, Nisa was in Maybank Investment Bank as part of the equity capital markets team where she was involved in equity fund raising activities for corporate Malaysia, spanning the consumer discretionary, infrastructure, energy, plantation and property sector.
Nisa began her career in equity research in Maybank Investment Bank and holds a degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield.
Nik Zatil Nik Faudzi
Nik Zatil Nik Faudzi is an analyst based in Elixir's Kuala Lumpur office. Prior to joining Elixir, she was with MAVCAP where she assisted in evaluating, structuring and implementing investment opportunities.
Nik received her education from the University of Technology MARA (UiTM) with the Bachelor of Administration (Hons) in Finance.
